It’s very important to have one!
In many cases, you can’t see water damage. It’s sometimes behind the wall, baseboard or under the floor. You can’t physically see water damage, but with a moisture meter you can figure out if there is damage or not.
Recently I had a claim which was denied because the insurance company didn’t see any water damage. I went to the house, the client explained to me the loss.
I knew there have to be water damage. I put this moisture detector right up against the baseboard and it started reading off the charts! We’ve removed the baseboard and there was nothing but water damage and MOLD!
The claim that was denied is now reopened and I’m super confident that we are going to get that claim paid. And it could go from 0 to almost $100K.
